Yes. Visitors who don't live in Thailand can get back about 3.8–6.1% of the price on purchases of at least THB 2,000 by claiming the VAT refund before they leave.

Who can claim
- You are not a Thai national and do not live in Thailand.
- You are not crew on the flight you leave on.
- You leave Thailand by air from an international airport.
How to get the money back
- Shop at a store with the VAT Refund for Tourists sign and spend at least 2,000 THB there that day.
- Show your passport and ask for the P.P.10 form and original tax invoice.
- At the departure airport, before check-in, show the goods and forms at the customs VAT refund desk (needed when total purchases are 20,000 THB or more).
- After passport control, show jewellery, gold, watches, phones, laptops, pens, glasses and bags again at the VAT refund office.
- Collect your refund at the VAT Refund for Tourists office in the departure lounge.
Where to validate: At the customs VAT refund desk in the departure hall of an international airport, before check-in (Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Phuket and others).
Deadline: Take the goods out of Thailand within 60 days of purchase.

- The Revenue Department refund table pays about 3.8% on small buys, rising to about 6.1% on large ones.
- At Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang you can ask for a downtown refund and get the money before you reach the airport.
