Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TravelMaxing ("the Service"), accessible at travelmaxing.app. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TravelMaxing helps travelers plan trips, view visa and weather information, browse curated destinations, discover other travelers, and book travel through partner services. Some features are free; others require credits (see Section 4).

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 16 or older to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
One person may not maintain multiple accounts to bypass usage limits or pricing.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Service's content (visa data, destination data, blog posts) without permission.
Reverse-engineer, attempt to access non-public APIs, or interfere with the Service's operation.
Submit spam, harassment, hate speech, or sexually explicit content via meetups or trip notes.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
Attempt to bypass payment, rate limits, credits, or the abuse-prevention systems.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on the severity.

4. Credits, payments, and refunds

New accounts receive 3 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased in packs (see Pricing).
Credits never expire and are not transferable between accounts.
Credits are consumed when you create a trip, extend a trip's destination limit, host a public meetup, or use AI features. The cost of each action is shown before you confirm.
Once a credit has been spent on an action it is not refundable. Unused credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no credits from the pack have been spent.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Pricing is shown in EUR (or your local equivalent at checkout).

5. Your content

You retain ownership of trips, notes, and other content you submit. By submitting content marked as public (e.g. a public trip or a public meetup), you grant TravelMaxing a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content within the Service. We will not sell your content to third parties.

6. Third-party services and affiliate links

The Service includes links to third-party booking partners (e.g. Booking.com, Aviasales, GetYourGuide, Omio, 12Go, Busbud). When you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Bookings, refunds, and customer service for those purchases are handled directly by the partner under their own terms. TravelMaxing is not a travel agency and does not act as a party to any booking contract between you and a partner.

7. Information accuracy & disclaimers

Visa rules, weather data, prices, and cost-of-living estimates shown on the Service come from independent sources and may be out of date or incorrect. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

You are solely responsible for verifying critical travel information (visa requirements, vaccination rules, safety advisories) with the relevant official authorities before booking or travelling.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TravelMaxing and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, unused purchased credits become void unless legally required otherwise.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
